Fourth Sunday

Carol and I rose early for a sunrise walk on the beach. The sand was cool. The ocean's waves were warm. The walk was a charm.

A few photos to expand on the experience. Ladies first ...

One of me trailing off in the distance thinking my lady is right behind me, and another that I actually knew was being taken ...

At our meeting today we met others who arrived on their quest to escape the snows. One couple is from Vancouver Island so I asked them if they knew my friend who lives there, Bill Milliken. Did they know him? Did they *ever!* The name of the couple is Gail and Arnold Harasymchuk, which I hope I've spelled correctly.

We mentioned this coincidence to another couple we've become acquainted with and they said, "Well, we know Bill Milliken too!" Their names are Wayne and Nancy Bourdin. Then there are the two Ewington brothers here who know Bill also. I'm beginning to suspect knowing Bill is a requirement for attending meetings here.

The Bourdins invited us to accompany them back to their favorite restaurant in Ixtapa for a late supper. With the Sunday meeting at 5:00 pm folks are ready to eat afterwards. We accepted, and later Peter Ewington and his family arrived there as well so we joined the tables together.

At the meeting a very fine talk was delivered by a visiting elder from western Canada. His first statement was, "They grow them big in Canada." He is six foot, seven and a half inches tall. He must rent a car. There is no way he could stand or sit on an Ixtapa bus.

And so it goes.
